| Thank you for visiting our new website. Beads 'n Poodles was an idea that we started because we liked to work with beads. Diane first started working with beads when she found that the plastic stitch markers constantly broke. She saw some beaded stitch markers online and decided to make her own. When her daughter went to Community College, she was making all sorts of jewlery for her friends. The two of us decided that we wanted to do something outside of the high-tech industry and came up with a bead store, only that instead of selling beads, we are selling beaded accessories. Our first trade show was in Oregon at the Sock Summit 2009 convention. Going to the Sock Summit netted Beads 'n Poodles some traffic. Now, we are starting an internet business in the hopes of opening a store. |
| We sell knitting stitch markers, crochet row markers, wine glass charms, and cell phone dangles (or scissor fobs, or zipper pulls). We do not make the beads, however, we do assemble the accessory. We wire-wrap all of our products to secure the beads and give the drop a nice, finished appearance. Some of our knitting stitch markers use jump rings, but we are moving toward loops built into the wire-wrap. The cellphone dangles are on a split ring attached to the cable, and the wine glass charms are made securely with a metal ring.
We use a wide selection of beads for our accessories. We have berries, bears, cats, poodles, sea creatures, teapots, and rubber ducks. Our beads include holidays: 4th of July, St. Patrick's Day, Halloween, Christmas, and Easter. Since we are just starting our website, please choose a themed category and specify your choice of beads.
